CENTRALIA — A 26-year-old Centralia woman is in the Marion County Jail following her arrest early this morning during a traffic stop by Centralia police.

According to police, Keila Linder was arrested for alleged aggravated battery to a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic instrument, escape, and on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.

Linder was initially stopped by police for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt. During the stop, the officer reportedly noticed a spoon in the passenger seat and the corner of a baggie containing a substance that field tested as meth.

Linder was arrested and reportedly ran from police when they were getting her out of the squad car at the Centralia Police Station.

She was reportedly able to get one hand free from the handcuffs and attempted to continue running, but was apprehended.

A hypodermic syringe was reportedly found on the path Linder took when she fled from the back of the police station.
