Marvel’s Black Panther has now broken into the top 10 highest-grossing movies of all-time at the worldwide box office. What director Ryan Coogler and screenwriter Joe Robert Cole have accomplished with this film is nothing short of astonishing. Starring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther and Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Black Panther delivered a story that continues to resonate with audiences long after its release – and all of that hype doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
Ever since releasing in mid-February, Black Panther has been on a streak of breaking any and all records in its path. It started off by toppling Deadpool‘s February opening weekend record and then went on to surpass all other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies on the weekday charts. After that, it grossed enough to beat Joss Whedon’s The Avengers, thus becoming the highest-grossing superhero movie ever at the domestic box office. If that wasn’t enough, it’s already the highest-rated superhero film. And now, it has crossed yet another milestone.
