CENTRALIA — A 40-year-old Rockford man is in the Marion County Jail after being arrested by Centralia police Friday night on multiple charges.

According to police, Timothy Ramsey was initially stopped as a person of interest in a stolen vehicle case.

Ramsey reportedly admitted to officers that the vehicle in question was in Rockford.

As they were taking him into custody, officers reportedly found methamphetamine in his wallet, a drug pipe in his pocket, a loaded handgun in the center console of his vehicle, along with ammunition and drug pipes elsewhere in the vehicle.

In addition to the theft charge, he was transported to the Marion County Jail for alleged possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID card.
