Victor Serrano was arrested by Indiana authorities following a high speed chase.

A warrant for Serrano’s arrest had been issued in Jefferson County, Illinois accusing him of seriously injuring a pregnant woman in Mt. Vernon, then fleeing to Indiana. Once there, he reportedly led Indiana police on a chase that exceeded 100 miles an hour.

Indiana troopers laid down spike strips to try and stop him, but he reportedly continued until he crashed into a trooper’s vehicle and was arrested.

The Illinois warrant charges Serrano with attempted first degree murder, attempted intentional homicide of a child, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated domestic battery.

Serrano has been held in the Jefferson County Jail since Sunday, awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail..
