CENTRALIA — Alex M. Marshall, 95, of Centralia, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at Fireside House of Centralia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, and a son: Alex “Butch” J. Marshall.
Alex served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Alex was a retired Police Office in Beckemeyer and a retired Sheriff Deputy in Clinton County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1227 in Beckemeyer, Centralia Elks Lodge 493, and Centralia Masonic Lodge 201. Alex attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. Alex enjoyed dancing.
Graveside Services for Alex M. Marshall will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Beckemeyer Cemetery in Beckemeyer with Pastor Mark Girardin officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the Gravesite by the American Legion Post 1227.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 1227 and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, 618-532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Marshall family.
