PATOKA — David L. Adams, 69, of Patoka, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was born the son of Fielding and Ruth (Karr) Adams on May 13, 1944 in Centralia. david adams

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jane (Edwards) Adams of Patoka; two sons Kenneth Adams and Mark Adams and wife Toni all of Patoka; three grandsons Dylan, Kyle, and Braydon; one granddaughter Katelyn; two step-grandchildren Cody and Britny; step-great-granddaughter Chloe; two brothers Jack Adams, wife Erma and Paul Adams, wife Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fielding and Ruth Adams; sister Vera Mae Stephens; and two brothers Carl and Lee Adams.

David was a truck driver for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Patoka Masonic Lodge, former mayor of Patoka and village board member. He was a devoted companion to his dog Flex and loved to deer hunt. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren.

A visitation for Mr. Adams will be held from 3 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka. Masonic services will be conducted by the Patoka Masonic Lodge at 6 p.m.
