Frances was born in Washington County on October 4, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Szezeblewski) Kachuba. She married Henry Nalewajka at St. Michael Church in Radom on Sept 14, 1946, He precedes her in death.
She is survived by son Michael Nalewajka and wife Cathy of Normal; daughter Shirley Marth and husband Jim of Phoenix; grandson Roger Nalewajka and wife Julia of Bloomington; great-granddaughter Amelia Nalewajka; great-grandson Jude Nalewajka; four sisters-in-law Millie Korzenewski, Jeanne Nalewajka, Delores Kachuba, and Helen Kachuba; brother-in-law Stanley Hudzik; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Nalewajka; parents Frank and Rosie Kachuba; sisters Stella Stanowski and Anges Paszkiewicz; brothers Walter Kachuba and Sylvester Kachuba; brothers-in-law Erwin Nalewajka, Leo Nalewajka, Frank Nalewajka, Joe Stanowski and Casimir Paszkiewicz; and sisters-in-law Mary Hudzik and Betty Nalewajka.
Frances enjoyed making beautiful quilts for her friends and family. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, and going to the casino (often being more lucky than not). Frances worked for SS Kresge, and Kmart in Centralia where she retired as personnel manager in 1985. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval and St. Simon and Jude Cathedral in Phoenix. Frances enjoyed spending time with her dogs Penny and Pepper, and was especially happy to meet her great-granddaughter Amelia and see pictures of her great-grandson Jude.
Funeral Mass for Frances will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval. A visitation will be from 9 until 10 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery with the Fr. Patrick Peter & Fr. Justin Olisaemeka officiating.
