SANDOVAL — Harold Marvin Lutz, 87, of Sandoval passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at St. Lukes Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo.
He was born the son of Charles and Mamie (Troutt) Lutz on April 9, 1926 in Carrigan Township. He married Pauline Crawford July 2, 1949 in Patoka.
Survivors include his wife, of 64 years, Pauline Lutz of Sandoval; son James Harold Lutz of Nashville; daughter Mary Ann Lutz and special friend Jim Peterson of Centralia; granddaughter Julie Ann Lutz of Glen Carbon; sisters-in-law Florence Ticknor of Sandoval and Esther Guzzardo of Freeport; brother-in-law Lucas Crawford and wife Barbara of Odin. Other special survivors include Francis and Barb Lutz, Van and Nancy Dykstra, Scott and Brandy Dykstra, Steve and Dujuana Morris, Darin and Jamie Brandt, Derrik and Rose Ann Brubaker and families, special friend and families, all of Sandoval. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lutz was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Marie Heinzmann and Nina Houston; brother Earl Lutz; and an infant daughter Ruth Ann.
Harold was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and friend. His lifelong passion was farming.
Services for Mr. Lutz will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Pastor Larry Miller, Pastor Steve Upchurch, Rev. Mark Slaatte officiating. Entombment will follow at the Hillcrest Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the services on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandoval Fire Department or the Fairman Baptist Church.
