KINMUNDY — Ronald J. Kline, age 74, of Kinmundy died Friday, November 22nd, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon.
He was born December 4th, 1938 in West Virginia to Michael Kline and Mary (Dinkabich) Miscik. He married Lena ‘Joan’ (Perry) Kline in Kinmundy on May 8th 1982 in Alma and she survives in Kinmundy.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Kline is survived by his sons, Andrew Kline and fiancee Jill Warren of Kansas City, Missouri and Stephen Kline of Kansas City, MO, the mother of the two sons – Nora Petrea of Wichita, Kansas; two step-sons – Bradley Charlton of Salem and Eddie (Sheila) Charlton of Alma, sisters – Shirley Barret of West Frankfort and Gloria Rotramel of Virginia, seven grandchildren – Kylee Kline, Kori Kline, Rachel Winkel, Michael Charlton, Cody Charlton, Blake Charlton, and Kaylee Charlton, and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both parents and step-son – Jeffrey Charlton.
He was a lineman for the Union Pacific Railroad, a member of the Catholic Church, Edgewood American Legion, Masons, and Shriners, and the Vandalia Masons and Shriners. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
According to his wishes, cremation rights will be accorded. Private Memorial Services for the family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital. Online condolences may be left at jwnealfuneralhome.net.
