Audree Green Schroeder

RICHARDSON, Texas — Audree Green Schroeder, 100, of Richardson, Texas and formerly of Patoka,  passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014. picture-pub

Audree was a 1931 graduate of Vandalia High School. She was a former employee of Patoka State Bank and worked as a bookkeeper at the Chevrolet dealership in Patoka that was owned by her husband, Orville. She and her husband also built the Boulder Access Marina on Carlyle Lake and operated it until their retirement in 1981. Audree enjoyed ceramics, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

Graveside services for Audree Schroeder will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Patoka City Cemetery with Pastor David Rodgers officiating.

Mrs. Schroeder is survived by her son-in-law Joe Betts and wife Helen of Carrollton, Texas; granddaughter Kriste Schlosser and husband Robert of Carrollton, Texas; granddaughter Nikki Holland and husband Marcus of Centralia; great-grandchildren Natalie Clair, Jennifer Clair, and Trevor Schlosser; and great great-grandson Drake Clair.

She was born on June 27, 1913 in Vernon, the daughter of Lawrence Elston Green and Ethel Cox Green. Audree married Orville Schroeder and he preceeded her in death in 1983. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by siblings Lawrence Elston Green Jr and Madeline Krug; daughter Sandra Betts; son Dennis Schroeder; and grandson Jeff Betts.
