Centralia man arrested after pulling knife on Walmart employees

Joshua WoodromeCARLYLE — What likely would have been a shoplifting charge turned into an armed robbery arrest over the weekend for a

29-year-old Centralia man.

Joshua Woodrome was reportedly caught shoplifting late Saturday night at the Walmart store in Centralia, when he allegedly pulled a pocket knife of store loss prevention personnel.

Centralia detective Capt. Richard Densmore says Woodrome then stayed in the store and waited for officers to arrive and arrest him.

Woodrome was subsequently transported to the Clinton County jail, where he remained with bail set at $7,500.

He was formally charged in court this morning with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and retail theft, both misdemeanor charges.
