She was born the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Williams) Deadmond on December 19, 1920 in Odin Township. She married Edwin Dean Ross in St. Louis on December 7, 1939. In 1978, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son Edwin Dale Ross of Evansville, Ind.; two granddaughters Tammy Basinger of Evansville and Clara Taylor and husband Brad of Glen Carbon; three great-grandchildren Eric Basinger, Alex Taylor, and Ashley Taylor; one brother Dean Deadmond and wife Rosie of Odin; three nephews Gary Hawkins, Larry Deadmond, and Bob Ross; two nieces Patty Deweese and Sue Marlow.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by both of her parents; sister Irma Hawkins; and five brothers Charles, Joseph, Irvin, Wilson, and Ira.
Services for Mrs. Ross will be held at noon Monday, March 31, 2014 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Burial will follow at Andereck-McClelland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services Monday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Andereck-McClelland Cemetery Fund. The family would also like to give a special thank you to the St. Mary’s nurses, staff, and Dr. Shroff.
