She was born at home March 18, 1947 in Patoka, the daughter of Forrest and Mary Elvena (Fiscus) Wadkins. She married Dwain A. Niepoetter May 8, 1965 at St. Lawrence Church in Sandoval. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2007.
Survivors include son Dwain Bryan Niepoetter (wife Paula) of Memphis, TN; daughter Dwaina Garrett (husband, Kurt) of Kinmundy; six grandchildren Trey Garrett, LaChrista Niepoetter, Dustin Niepoetter, Kallie Garrett, Abby Garrett, and Dylan Niepoetter; brother Kenneth Wadkins of Vernon; sister Donna Caudle of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by both of her parents; and two brothers Dean and Charles Wadkins.
Janice was a member of the Patoka Baptist Church. She drove a school bus for nearly 30 years and loved every child that climbed aboard the bus. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, going to auctions, and playing games with friends. She was also a very loving and giving person. Above all she loved being with the grandchildren and close family and friends.
Services for Mrs. Niepoetter will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka. Burial will follow at Sandy Branch Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday before the time of the services.
