PATOKA — Paul D. Forehand, 85, of Patoka passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Odin Health Care Center.
He was born the son of Clarence and Florence (Gillett) Forehand on September 12, 1928 in Patoka. In 1979, he married Mila Cain in Vandalia. She survives in Patoka.
Other survivors include two step-sons Mike Cain and wife Carol and Tracy Cain and special friend Mary Jane Gierten all of Patoka; two step-daughters Terri Reed and husband Robert of Sandoval, and Stacy Hood and husband Gary of Patoka; 11 step-grandchildren Stephanie, Alicia, Jake, Samantha, Emily, Shelby, Andrew, Taylor, Hunter, Candace and Clinton; three step-great-grandchildren Jase, Claire, and Noah; two brothers Leo Forehand and wife Helen of Patoka and Wayne Forehand of Vandalia; and three sisters Dorothy of Nokomis, Margie Cripe of Vandalia, and Eunice of Arizona.
Paul was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Clarence Forehand, Jr.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held in Vernon Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vernon Cemetery and TIP Hospice.
