Pauline Marie Gambill

picture-pubSANDOVAL — Pauline Marie Gambill, 74, of Sandoval, died Monday, April 07, 2014 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.

She was born the daughter of Henry and Mathilda (Tolka) Lukaseck on April 30, 1939. She married Darrell A. Gambill on June 1, 1957 in Sandoval. He preceded her in death on Thursday, July 9, 2009.

Survivors include two sons Gail Gambill and wife Susan of Sandoval and Mark Gambill and special friend Beth Lipe of Sandoval; daughters Joyce Pryor and husband Garry of Centralia, Rita Knolhoff and husband Verlin of Sandoval; grandchildren Emily Pryor, Andrea Shipley and husband Gloyd, Sheilia Towler and husband Scott, Ryan Knolhoff and fiancée Jessica Groff , Andrew Knolhoff and special friend Erin Shuett, Tara Hopkins and husband Chris, Kyle Gambill, Kaycee Gambill, Teirre Martin, special friend Nathan Stewart, Trey Gambill, and Donnie and Drew Lipe; great-grandchildren Baylee Martin and Peyton Martin, Levi Towler, Kylynn Hopkins, Waylon Hopkins, Jacelynn Hopkins, and Jamie Matthews, sisters-in-law Terri Sprehe and Brenda Clawges and husband Tim.

In addition to her husband Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and brother Carl.

Mrs. Gambill lived in Sandoval all her life. She was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Alter Sodality. She was also a member of the VFW Centralia Auxiliary #2055. She worked in various restaurants over the years including the Sandoval House, Mr. Skillett’s, Boulder Café, and Your Community Market. She was also a volunteer at the Shalom Food Pantry and a babysitter for many families in the area over the years.

A funeral mass for Mrs. Gambill will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval with Father Justin Olisaemeka and Father Robert Zwilling officiating. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Shalom Food Pantry and the Sandoval Fire Department.
