He was born the son of Peter and Sophia (Leganza) Hudzik on March 6, 1919. He married Mary Nalewajka on March 25, 1940. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2001.
Survivors include his son Stanley Jr. and wife Beverly of Sandoval; grandchildren Teresa Pritchard and husband Alan of Junction City and Dr. Steven Hudzik, wife Silvia of Chatham; great-grandchildren David Lyons, Jacob Pritchard, Olivia and Sean Hudzik; and brother Wendell Hudzik of Belleville.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Frances; two sisters Stella Brubaber and Regina Wzientek; and two brothers Leo and Peter.
Stanley was a WWII Army Veteran and served in the Pacific on the Island of Okinawa. He lived in the Chicago and Oaklawn area from 1939-1975. He retired from Western Electric in 1975 and returned to Junction City. He was an avid baseball fan and especially enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs. He could also be seen at most area basketball games. He loved to fish and work in his vegetable garden. He was member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval.
Private graveside services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandoval Fire Department.
