SANDOVAL — Virginia “Joyce” Schulte, 70, of Sandoval died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at Good Samaritan Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon. picture-pub

She was born on August 9, 1944 in Beckemeyer, the daughter of Edward “Joe” and Edna (Moore) Martin.

Survivors include daughters Vicki Carroll and husband Deke of Sandoval, and Anita Chapman and husband Randall DeWayne of Salem; sister Sharon Belcher of Patoka; brother Roger Martin and wife Nancy of Covington; special friend Carolyn Skibinski of Salem; grandchildren Brent Smith and special friend Toshia of Odin, Jason Smith and special friend Ashley of Sandoval, Samantha Moore and special friend Jon of Sandoval, Dustin Chapman of Salem, and Brandon Chapman and special friend Heather of Salem; great-grandchildren Kiersten, Kylee, Jena, Jakob, Hunter, and MyKenzi; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gene Martin and Leon Martin; a son Dale “Bub” Martin; and a granddaughter Michele Smith.

Joyce loved to cook; she was famous for her chicken and noodles. Also, she enjoyed sewing and gambling. She enjoyed spending time with her companion dog Princess. Joyce lived for her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval with Reverend Rick Wilmoth officiating. Intermittent will be in the Sandoval cemetery in Sandoval.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the funeral service at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
