Steven Larson is charged with two counts kidnapping for the alleged abduction of 13-year-old Rebecca Neu on January 30.

Larson and Neu were located early Sunday morning in Sikeston, Missouri, where Larson was taken into custody without incident.

Larson was returned to Effingham county Thursday after being held in Scott County, Missouri. Larson had earlier waived extradition.

Judge Kimberly Koester issued the warrant for Larson’s arrest, set his bond at $250,000 and has prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 15, other than his own children.

Larson was appointed a public defender and is due back in court February 18, for a first appearance with council

An amber alert was issued for Larson and Neu after Larson’s car was found parked at the Amtrak station in Effingham.

Neu’s parents had dropped their daughter off earlier Saturday with Larson, who was her karate instructor.
