She was born September 14, 1915, daughter of William Bill and Dora (Lewis) Newman in Odin, IL. She married Dale W. Nattier on April 12, 1936 in Patoka. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2010.
Survivors include her daughters Jane Adams and husband Dick of Patoka, Janet Thalman of Patoka, and Sue Friend and husband Dale of Belle Rive; eight grandchildren Rhonda Adams of Trenton, Rick Adams and wife Terri of Patoka, Marla Smith of Carlyle, Mike Thalman and wife Teresa of Patoka, Rae Ann Gore and husband David of Sandoval, Jane Wayer and husband Doug of Salem, Valerie Powell and special friend Chris Brown of Johnson City, Joni Brookshine and husband Rick of Woodlawn; sixteen great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandbabies on the way.
In addition to her husband, Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents; one brother William Lewis Newman; three sisters Gladys Sanders, Florence Evans, and Dorothy Redburn; son-in-law Charles Dean Thalman, and great-grandson-in-law Greg Hassebrock.
Mrs. Nattier was a member of the First Baptist Church in Patoka and the Pinochle Club. She was the owner and operator of Patoka Hardware and Locker Plant. She later retired after 15 years of employment with Murray Center. She enjoyed playing cards, reading books, and sewing. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. But, most of all she treasured the time spent with all of her family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Patoka Baptist Church with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Patoka Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Patoka Cemetery or the First Baptist Church of Patoka.
