Melvin Douglas “Doug” Wagner

CENTRALIA — Melvin Douglas “Doug” Wagner, age 64, of Centralia, passed away at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at his home in Centralia.

He was born on July 20, 1950 in Centralia, the son of Melvin Marion and Wilma Judith (Sanders) Wagner.

Mr. Wagner is survived by his brother Larry Wagner and wife Lois of Irvingtonl; sister Ruth Ann Holthaus and husband Tom of Centralia; two aunts, Eleanor Mc Kay of Centralia, and Barbara Schriefer of Kankakee; six nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-nephew; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister Diane

He worked for 25 years for Clark Oil. He has lived all of his life in Centralia. He was a member of the Elks Club. He graduated from Centralia High School in 1968. He was also member of the Centralia Moose and Central City Lions.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. February 6, 2015 at Elmwood Cemetery with John Willis officiating.

Friends may call at time of service and are asked to meet at cemetery.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to Centralia Humane Society, American Cancer Society or Elks Children Care Program, and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements.
