JEFFERSON COUNTY — With one circuit clerk on his way out, Jefferson County will swear in a new circuit clerk on Friday.
The Jefferson County Board has appointed Randy Pollard to replace outgoing circuit clerk John Scott who is resigning to take a job in the Illinois Comptroller’s Office. Scott has held the position since 2006.
Pollard comes to the circuit clerk’s office after serving as Jefferson County jail administrator. He will be sworn in on Friday.
