MONTGOMERY COUNTY — A lake in Montgomery County has been closed, after a power station discharged hundreds of gallons of turbine oil into a discharge ditch.

 
Coffeen Lake is closed to boating while cleanup of spilled oil at the Coffeen Power Station continues.
 
Dynegy Inc. reported the spill of 800-1,000 gallons of turbine oil into the discharge ditch yesterday.
 
No direct impact on fish or wildlife has been observed. However, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has recommended the lake be closed until further notice.
