MARION COUNTY — The Marion County Coroner’s Office and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office are currently

investigating the death of a rural Sandoval man as an apparent accidental drug overdose.

According to a press release from the Marion County Coroner’s Office, Deputy Coroner Carl Dunn pronounced 29-year-old Joshua D. Speiser, of Sandoval, dead just after 11 o’clock Tuesday morning.

Coroner Troy Cannon, who also responded to the scene, says that evidence indicates the use of an illicit substance; however, results of pending toxicology samples will be used to determine the exact cause of death.
