MARION COUNTY — Area law enforcement is searching for a man who fled on foot from the scene of a Monday morning traffic accident in which the suspect was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place around 5 a.m. Monday on State Route 161 in Centralia, near Raccoon Grade School.
Reports say the man was driving a vehicle owned by an Iuka woman, Veronica Cox, who later reported the car stolen. The man reportedly struck a pickup truck being driven by 62-year-old Randy Kent, of Centralia.
While both the car and truck sustained significant damage, no injuries were reported.
