Starr Leaving Murray Center For Facility In Georgia

simonCENTRALIA — The Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia will be having another change in leadership, as its current director announced this morning he will be leaving Illinois for a position in Georgia. Rick Starr was named director of the Centralia facility in November 2013, replacing Jamie Veach who had taken a position as Chief Operating Officer for the Clay County Hospital in Flora. Starr announced this morning that he will be leaving Murray Center to take a job with Georgia Regent University/Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Augusta, Georgia.

Reports indicate Jeff Frost will be appointed as interim director of the Centralia facility until a full-time replacement for Starr is hired.
