WALNUT HILL — Bradley “Brad” J. Meyer, 51, of Walnut Hill, passed away at on Monday, March 9, 2015 at his home in Walnut Hill, Illinois.
He was born on February 11, 1964 in Centralia, the son Leonard and Mary Ann (Lester) Meyer. He was later raised by his step father Edward Gross. Brad married Karen L. Meyer at Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Meyer is survived by his son Cody Meyer and girlfriend Taylor Winkler of Walnut Hill; daughter Megan Meyer and boyfriend Matthew McColpin of Fishers, Ind.; three brothers, Bruce Meyer and wife Kelly of Walnut Hill, Lee Gross and wife Jennifer of Central City, Lyle Gross and wife Angela of Centralia; four sisters, Beverly Stevens of North Carolina; Emma Ward; Cathy Gesell and husband Jerry, of Farina, and Barbara Harper and husband Gary of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Bill Meyer, Bob Meyer, and Brian Meyer, step-father Ed Gross; mother and father-in-law Kenneth and Belva Fark.
He worked at Graphic packaging. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and Cardinal Baseball.
Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev. Pam Mitcham officiating.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
