WASHINGTON COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that beginning Monday, March 16, the structure carrying County Highway 4 in Washington County over Interstate 64 will be closed for road construction.
The project consists of bridge deck scarification, bridge deck microsilica concrete overlay, polymer joints, and hot-mix asphalt overlay on approaches. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, May 1, weather permitting.
Motorists should use alternate routes to avoid the closure. Kilian Corporation from Mascoutah is the contractor for the project
