The National Enquirer is reporting that Britney Spears is in early talks to perform during the 2016 Super Bowl.
According to a source (via MTV UK), “She’s ready to do something massive. She’s definitely doing a part in the Super Bowl halftime show next year. The details haven’t totally been worked out yet, but it will be huge.”
This will be Britney’s second trip to the “Big Game”. During the 2001 Super Bowl (Video Below), Britney performed with Aerosmith, ‘N Sync, Mary J. Blige and Nelly. The site goes on to suggest that Britney could sing with another current pop icon, Miley Cyrus.
Britney recently spoke with Billboard about her next album and had this to say: “I’m gonna do [a new album] slowly but surely. There’s a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I’m gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it’s not my full priority right now.”
