SANDOVAL — The Village of Sandoval is welcoming a new police chief and new officers, as Chief Andy Westman will be leaving his position at the end of the month for a job at the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Police and Zoning Officer Joe Lyons will take over as the new chief. After completing the academy, Nick Watkins will be promoted to the full time police officer position.
The board also hired two new part time officers Adam Conrad of Sandoval and Myles Niebalski of Centralia.
