JEFFERSON COUNTY — Three men were taken to the Jefferson County jail Friday night, after being arrested on meth-related offenses allegedly discovered during roadside safety checks.
 
Conducted by Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies and Mt. Vernon police, the checks resulted in the arrests of 24-year-old Steven Robertson, of Fairfield on charges of driving while license suspended and a meth-related offense, while 35-year-old Steven Snyder, of Dix was arrested on a meth offense, as well as on an outstanding Jefferson County warrant for a meth related charge.
 
Also taken into custody was 25-year-old Tracy Vaughn, also of Dix, for a meth-related offense.
 
One DUI was given and various other citations were written during Friday night’s roadside safety checks that had been highly publicized in the days leading up to the weekend.
