JACKSON COUNTY — A 40-year-old homeless man, who was arrested last week in Jackson County on allegations of burglary, was formally charged Monday with felony transmission of HIV through sexual activity, according to online court documents.
 
William Harrison Ticer was arrested by Carbondale police last week, after police learned of possible suspect information during the course of another investigation.
 
Police say the investigation all began when officers responded to two different burglary reports last week at a business in the 1700 block of West Main Street.

Sunday, Carbondale police learned of possible suspect information during the course of another investigation.That led to two possible suspects being linked to the business burglaries.

That led Ticer being arrested along with a 24-year-old homeless woman, Marsha Nicholson for the alleged business burglaries. Nicholson was charged Friday with two felony counts of burglary, while online documents whoe Ticer was charged Monday with the felony HIV transmission. Both Ticer and Nicholson remain in the Jackson County jail.
