ODIN — Paul Dwight Burge, 82, of Enid, Okla., formerly of Salem passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Oklahoma University Medical Center.
He was born June 18, 1932 the son of Donald and Lucille (Williams) Burge in Centralia. He married Jeanine Hawley on October 31, 1949. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2008.
Survivors include his son David Burge and wife Kathy of Enid; daughter Tina Quick and husband Dave of Salem; grandchildren Chad Burge and wife Michelle, Kristie Felgenhauer and husband Steve, Sara Myers and husband John, Angie Ward and husband Jason, Ryan Spencer, and Tyler Burge; great-grandchildren Ambroyca, Steven, Kayla, Jakob, Parker, and Lily; and two sisters Barbara Middleton of Florida and Nonda Rostance of Odin.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son Steven Burge and brother John Burge.
Mr. Burge was employed in production for forty-two years with Texaco. He started at the age of 18 and never took a sick day. His past hobbies included bull riding and restoring gas pumps and Coke machines. He treasured the time he spent with his friends and family.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015, at Irvin Funeral Home with Pastor Angie Ward, Adam Herald, and Dave Quick officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
