Home damaged when 14-year-old driver’s car leaves road, goes airborne

CLINTON COUNTY — According to police reports, a 14-year-old boy driving a vehicle around noon Sunday, lost control of the car, causing it to go airborne and crash into a home on West 17th Street just outside Centralia.

Reports indicate the boy managed to get out of the car on his own, as emergency responders reportedly found him sitting on the steps of the home when they arrived on the scene.

It’s unclear if any injuries were sustained in the accident, but the car did knock a hole in a wall of the brick home, just southwest of the Centralia city limits.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident.
