MARION COUNTY — A 25-year-old Centralia man was sentenced Tuesday in Marion County court to 3-years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, after pleading guilty to felony battery.
Joshua Williams was scheduled for a pretrial hearing Tuesday morning, but instead pleaded guilty to Class 3 felony charge for aggravated battery that had been reduced from Class 2 felony aggravated domestic battery.
Judge Mark Stedelin gave Williams until 6 p.m. Tuesday to get his affairs in order and turn himself in to the Marion County jail for transport to the Department of Corrections.
His $2,500 bond will be held until he surrenders to the sheriff’s department.
