Illinois State Police issued the alert, saying 15-year-old Savannah Bell may be traveling with a convicted murderer who escaped from an eastern Illinois jail early Wednesday morning.

Officers say Kamron T. Taylor fled from the Jerome Combs Detention Center around 3 a.m. Wednesday by overpowering a guard and taking his keys, uniform and SUV.

He fled in the correctional officer’s brown Chevrolet Equinox, which Kankakee County Sheriff Timothy Bukowski says was recovered about 8:30 a.m. in a residential neighborhood.

Dogs were called in to help in the search, but Bukowski says it’s not clear whether Taylor continued from there on foot or whether someone picked him up in another vehicle.

At 1:46 p.m. Illinois State Police issued an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for 15-year-old Savannah Bell. Police said she may be traveling with Taylor.

The U.S. Marshals Service’s Fugitive Task Force and local law enforcement agencies are participating in the manhunt. Bukowski says Taylor should be considered armed and dangerous.http://ellentube.com/videos/0_9oz8d7u5
