MARION COUNTY — In two separate incidents Tuesday, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department arrested three individuals on meth-related charges.

A report of a domestic disturbance resulted in the arrests of 24-year-old Timothy Pomeroy, of Iuka, and 19-year-old Myra Taylor, of Centralia, for alleged possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver.

According to reports, deputies responded to the disturbance call and found Pomeroy and Taylor parked in a car on the side of Route 37, just north of Route 161.

Pomeroy ultimately agreed to have a deputy drive him home to diffuse the situation, and was reportedly patted down before entering the cruiser.

During the patdown, the deputy reportedly found on Pomeroy a spoon covered with what appeared to be meth residue. He allegedly told deputies there was meth in a black container in the car, and it was located during a search of the vehicle, as were a bag containing two baggies of a substance that field tested positive for meth, two electronic scales, along with additional baggies.

Pomeroy and Taylor were taken to the Marion County Jail.

In a separate case, deputies arrested a 21-year-old man from Carlyle, on a meth conspiracy charge, along with delivery of a meth precursors and an outstanding Clinton County felony warrant.

Koehler’s arrest came after deputies discovered information indicating he was obtaining a key ingredient in the manufacture of meth — pseudoephedrine — from others.

He was also taken to the Marion County Jail, where he remains awaiting the formal filing of charges.
