SWANSEA — Esther Jean Seiber, 72, of Swansea, and formerly of Decatur, passed away at 8:23 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Parents and Friends of the Specialized Living Center in Swansea.
Ms. Seiber was survived by her stepsisters; Betty Stewart of Decatur, and Ruth Durham of Bloomington; stepbrothers; James Heidlebaugh and wife Louise of Decatur, and Charles Heidlebaugh and wife Lutti of Wrightwood, Calif.; three nieces; and six nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Farrel L. Seiber; grandfather Frederick Seiber and grandmother Dora Seiber.
Ms. Seiber was of the Lutheran Faith who was baptized on July 23, 1942 at the Evangelical Reform Lutheran Church in Central City. She was always singing and always happy and was one who never complained, even when dealing with health issues. She cherished the time she spent with her family and was grateful for the staff at the Specialized Living Center. She lived in Swansea, Illinois for the last 23 years.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Central City, with Pastor Mark Girardin officiating.
Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Wednesday. There will be no public visitation.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Ms. Seiber’s memory to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, who are in charge of arrangements.
