MARION COUNTY — The State Police Meth Response Team was called to a home in rural Odin over the weekend, after Marion County Sheriff’s deputies discovered a still smoking meth lab in a home and arrested its 57-year-old resident.
 
Norman Matthews was arrested Friday night, when deputies looking for another man who lived at the Norton Road home reportedly smelled what they believed was a meth lab.
 
After receiving permission to search the home, deputies reportedly discovered remnants of a still smoking meth lab in the home, along with meth waste in a wood burning stove.
 
Matthews was arrested for using a property for the manufacture of meth, unlawful disposal of meth waste and possession of meth manufacturing materials.
 
He was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he remains awaiting the formal filing of charges and the setting of bail.
