ODIN — Clarence Franklin Little, 84, of Odin, passed away at 11:46 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.
He was born on October 27, 1930 in Morrilton, Ark., the son of Herbert David and Nina Mae (Smith) Little. Clarence married Bernice Carolina (Hugo) Little on September 23, 1961 in Hoffman. She preceded him in death January 14, 2015.
Mr. Little is survived by his son Steven Allan Little and wife Lois of Davenport, Fla.; daughter Sheryl Marie Simms of Muskegon, Mich.; two brothers Joe Little and wife Jeraldine of Kell; Jess Little of Champaign; two sisters Louise Gholson and husband Don of Gun Barrell City, Texas; Carol Griffin and husband Larry of Kell; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert David Little and Nina Mae Little; brothers Bob Little, Herbert David Little II “Junior Little,” Cecil Little, John Little, and Herman Little; sisters Francis Mount, and Mildred Stanley.
He worked as boiler maker. He installed and serviced boilers and cremators for Industrial Equipment Company. He was lifelong area resident. He was member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. He enjoyed wood working and collecting trucks
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, with Pastor Mark Girardin and Pastor Perry Schefelker officiating. Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at County Line or Zion Grove Cemetery in Kell.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and are asked to meet at the funeral home.
For those who wish in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements.
