CENTRAL CITY — Betty Yauch, 86, of Central City, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Hidden Lake Lutheran Care Center in Spanish Lake, Mo.
She was born on June 13, 1928 in Iuka, the daughter of Earl D. and Marie Margaret (Onhiser) Sinclair. Betty married Arthur Calvin Yauch on April 14, 1947 in Centralia. He still survives in Central City.
Mrs. Yauch is survived by her husband; son John Yauch and wife Carol of Swansea; daughter Kathy Gibbs and husband Herbert of St. Charles, Mo; sister Leah Mansell of Alexandra, Minn.; three grandchildren Zachary Yauch and significant other Erin O’Sullivan, Samuel Yauch, Eric Gibbs, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Arthur Calvin Yauch Jr.; sisters Clara Bennett and Reba Radons; brothers Clyde Sinclair, James Lee Sinclair, and Earl Junior Sinclair.
She was member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Centralia. She was member of Zion United Church of Christ, and served multiple times on their Church Council. She was active in the Central City School District PTA. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. She loved to bowl and make crafts.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Irvin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia, with the Rev. Dr. Christopher Q. James officiating.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday at the funeral home. The funeral service will begin at noon..
