Man in custody for Sunday home invasion, sexual assault in Marion

MARION — Marion Police have arrested a man for an alleged home invasion and sexual assault that happened early Sunday morning in the 1400 block of West Boulevard.

Officers were called to that area around 4 a.m. Sunday and learned from the victim that 31-year-old Jermaine Jones had entered the victim’s home with a weapon demanding money and eventually sexually assaulting her.

The victim was able to give police detailed information that led to the suspect’s arrest. Jones was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

He was formally charged Monday in Williamson County Court with two Class X felonies for home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault.
