JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 57-year-old Bonnie man is jail today, after being arrested Tuesday on multiple meth-related charges.
According to Jefferson County Sheriff Travis Allen, deputies arrested Rodney Howard after they responded to a home in the 6600 block of North Illinois Hwy 148 in Bonnie on reference to possible meth manufacturing.
After talking with occupants of the home and further investigation, deputies obtained a search warrant for the home.
Howard was subsequently arrested and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on charges of aggravated meth manufacturing, possession of meth manufacturing materials, and possession of meth precursors.
Allen thanked his deputies, along with States Attorney Doug Hoffman and Judge Jo Beth Weber for meeting late at night to assist them with obtaining a search warrant.
