Police: Missing Illinois college student’s body found

HAZELWOOD, Mo. — Investigators say they’ve found the body of a 19-year-old Illinois college student who went missing while trying to sell his sports car on Craigslist, and they confirmed Wednesday evening that a person of interest was in custody for questioning.

Authorities with the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis say Taylor Clark’s body was found Tuesday night, near where his 2007 Nissan 350ZX was located on the parking lot of a truck driving school in the St. Louis suburb of Hazelwood, Missouri.

An autopsy was planned.

Clark was a student at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville who was reported missing by family members on Monday. Authorities say he was last seen that morning by his girlfriend after he finished taking his final examinations.
Authorities have said Clark had listed his car for sale on Craigslist and had spoken to someone Monday morning about the ad.
