Herrin man arrested for allegedly selling cannabis from home

HERRIN — A 30-year-old Herrin man was arrested Friday for allegedly selling large amounts of cannabis from his home in the 500 block of North 23rd Street.

Police say Shane Tarrant was arrested at his home around 8:40 p.m. for possession/manufacture and delivery of cannabis following an investigation into the sale of the illegal drug over the past few months.

Police received permission from Tarrant to search the home, where they say they seized around 386 grams of cannabis, more than $600 in cash and various drug paraphernalia items.

Tarrant was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
