The photos appear to show a large dent on the rear quarter-panel of the truck, just behind the rear tire on the passenger side.

According to FBI reports, the woman told authorities on May 12 that she had been sitting on her vehicle between 11 a.m. and noon Tuesday in South County Park in Cape Girardeau when she was physically forced into the red extended cab pick-up truck.  She said she was assaulted during the hours she was held, but around 6 p.m. she saw an opportunity at an intersection in Effingham to escape her captor, jumped out of the truck and ran for help.

Cape Girardeau police say they believe the suspect was armed with a large knife when the abduction occurred. They report the woman is with family and is doing as well as can be expected.

FBI said the vehicle may have gone south on Interstate 55 from Cape Girardeau to near Matthews, Mo. and then back to Cape Girardeau, before crossing into Illinois.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 30s, with a salt and pepper goatee. He is about 5-feet 10-inches tall,  heavy-set, wearing a ball cap, long-sleeve top that was dirty and light blue jeans.

The suspect is possibly hard of hearing and a heavy smoker.
