WAYNE COUNTY — A 68-year-old registered sex offender from Centralia was arrested this week in Wayne County, after he
reportedly violated the state’s sex offender laws.
Jimmy L. Plemons was taken to the Wayne County Jail after he reportedly showed up at Sam Dale Lake, which would be a violation of the state’s sex registry laws.
Plemons is a registered sex offender based upon an Indiana conviction for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a 12-year-old victim. At the time of the offense, Plemons was 35.
Plemons was convicted last September in Marion County for violating the sex offender registry and was sentenced to 4 years probation and time served in jail.
