CARTERVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Police in southern Illinois say a 19-month-old boy died when he was accidentally backed over by a car his grandparent was driving.

Williamson County Coroner Michael Burke tells the (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan that the accident happened 11:40 a.m. Tuesday at the family’s home in rural Carterville. The coroner identified the child as Kamden Feezor and said he was pronounced dead at 12:10 p.m. at Herrin Hospital.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating the death.

Carterville is about 10 miles east of Carbondale.
