EAST ST. LOUIS (AP) — A 41-year-old Lebanon man is headed to federal prison after authorities found a collection of more than 200,000 of pieces of child pornography.
According to the Belleville News-Democrat, Ryan Scott Richards was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison.
The Illinois Attorney General’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered in January 2014 that several photos and a video had been downloaded to a computer linked to Richards. They included images of a 9-year-old girl involved in sexual acts.
When task force members investigated they found Richards had a child-pornography collection that included 264,293 photos and 1,821 videos.
