SPRINGFIELD — State laboratories in Illinois are temporarily not accepting samples from homeowners who want to test their well water for nitrate or nitrite samples.

It’s expected that they will resume accepting samples after July 20th. In the meantime, if you want to test your well water, you are encouraged to contact a private lab.
