Carol Louise Snider

CENTRALIA — Carol Louise Snider, 89, of Centralia passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, June 23, 2015. She was born the daughter of Albert and Essie (Whittenburg) Niemann on December 5, 1925 in Central City. She married Bill R. Snider on December 2, 1945 in Centralia. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1986.

Mrs. Snider is survived by sons Richard Snider and wife Karen of Olathe, Kansas and Jim Snider and wife Peggy of Gatlinburg, Tennesee; grandchildren Laura Snider of Shiloh, Jennifer Hamilton and husband Joey of West Point, New York; Paul Snider and wife Alice of Olathe, Kansas; step-grandchildren Jeff Krutsinger of Maryville, Tennessee and Tammy Krutsinger of New Market, Tennessee; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Snider was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Ruth Niemann; brothers Morris, Fred, and Ralph Niemann; and grandchild Robert Snider.

Carol was a bookkeeper for Bergan Built and Centralia Grain and Coal. She lived all of her life in Centralia. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and Friedens United Church of Christ. Carol loved to crochet, cook, garden, and the St. Louis Cardinals. She was kind hearted, generous and cared deeply for her family and friends.

A visitation will not be held. Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015, at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
